Job summary

Radboud University’s HFML-FELIX invites an Associate or Full Professor of Science of High Magnetic Fields to lead an independent, internationally competitive research programme that complements existing lines on correlated electron systems and nanomaterials.

You will build a research group, acquire external funding, supervise PhD candidates and postdocs, and contribute to teaching in Physics and Astronomy, while engaging with national and international user programmes and collaborations.

Qualifications

• You are internationally acknowledged researcher with a PhD in physics or related discipline.
• You have leadership experience and ability to mentor students and staff.
• You have track record of acquiring external research funding.
• You can balance research with teaching and committee responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead an independent research group with an internationally competitive programme.
• Acquire external funding and build a research group including PhD candidates and postdocs.
• Supervise PhD candidates, postdocs, and other scientific staff.
• Develop and expand research lines in high magnetic fields and related topics.
• Contribute to teaching activities within Physics and Astronomy.
