LAN / WAN ADMINISTRATION

Location: Brunssum, the Netherlands

  • Knowledge and ability to perform duties provided below

Duties/role:

  • Updating Configurations in Production
    • Verifying the availability of necessary resources during initial deployment or solution evolution.
    • Planning the deployment in coordination with Change Management and service stakeholders to manage service outages.
    • Configuring or updating infrastructure components and/or user terminals, coordinating Deployment Interventions if needed.
    • Populating or updating the CMDB during deployment phases.
    • Executing validation and acceptance procedures.
  • Fulfilling Service Requests
    • Coordinating and ensuring the execution of Level 1 service requests (Monitoring and User Request Handling).
    • Involving User Proximity when necessary to complete service requests.
  • Resolving Incidents
    • Resolving incidents directly or escalating to Expertise/Escalation Handling if unresolved.
  • Managing Configurations in Production
    • Ensuring the availability of information on configurations and service assets.
    • Maintaining the CMDB to ensure traceability of all configuration changes made during interventions.
    • Performing audits between the CMDB and the actual environment.
    • Triggering inventories (including physical ones) and analyzing discrepancies.
  • Conducting Planned Controls
    • Performing periodic and procedural operations at software and system levels to reduce the risk of solution failure and prevent service degradation, including:
      • Conducting periodic resilience checks.
      • Backing up system data and verifying restoration capability.
      • Backing up user data and verifying restoration capability.
      • Participating in PCI/PRI testing under the supervision of Expertise.
      • Participating in failover testing under the supervision of Expertise.
  • Collecting Technical Data
    • Collecting technical data periodically for the teams in charge of Expertise and Reporting.
    • Auditing the solution’s availability and capacity.
    • Calculating service performance indicators.
