Job summary

The Laboratory Assistant at Pharming plans and executes daily lab activities to support development and commercial production of Pharming’s products. You will work with Development, Operations, and CMC teams, ensuring compliance with quality standards and timelines.

Earnest collaboration with cross-functional teams, accurate documentation, and adherence to GMP practices are key. The role includes preparing SOPs, maintaining lab records, and contributing to a safe, efficient lab environment in

Qualifications

  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical drug development processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline; alternatively, an MBO qualification combined with at least 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated laboratory environment is an advantage but not required.
  • Experience using Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN) or electronic lab journals is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, perform, and document experiments according to current procedures, protocols, and quality standards.
  • Accurately record, analyze, and report experimental results in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams to prioritize activities and ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and other laboratory documentation.
  • Identify recurring issues, deviations, or opportunities for improvement within the laboratory environment and proactively propose solutions.
  • Maintain a clear overview of assigned activities and communicate progress during team and project meetings.
  • Work in accordance with Pharming’s Quality Management System and support the maintenance of GMP-compliant laboratory documentation.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.

The Laboratory Assistant plans and executes daily laboratory activities and performs routine experiments to support the development and commercial production of Pharming’s products. The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for activities requested by the Development, Operations, and CMC teams. All activities are performed in compliance with applicable quality standards and within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Your Profile:
