Job summary

C-Cube International B.V. offers a Lab Assistant Intern position in Delft, Netherlands. You will join a multidisciplinary team and assist with sample handling, measurements and data analysis to support predictive maintenance for steel assets.

You'll gain hands-on experience with coating degradation monitoring, data dashboards, and reporting, while developing skills in CQM measurements and report writing in a global tech environment.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing HBO/BSc/MSc in Material Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Lab experience with UV, salt spray or thermal cycling is a plus.
  • Comfortable with data entry and basic data management.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting samples before testing.
  • Operating and experimenting with coating aging equipment.
  • Taking measurements with CQM systems.
  • Performing visual inspections and maintaining quality.
  • Assisting with data analysis and keeping dashboards up to date.
  • Documenting findings and helping create clear reports.

About the Team

You’ll be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team combining expertise in electrochemistry, sensor technology, software development and data analysis. Collaborating closely with engineers and researchers, you’ll contribute to developing innovative solutions that monitor and predict material degradation in challenging environments. This collaborative setting offers great opportunities to learn, innovate, and make a tangible impact on the future of infrastructure maintenance.

What You'll Do

Who You Are
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering program or a related field (HBO/BSc/MSc).
  • Previous lab experience with equipment like UV, salt spray, thermal cycling machines, or impact testing is a plus
  • Comfortable with data entry, processing, and management
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
