Job summary

The Specialist Group seeks an EPLAN-focused Electrical Engineer to act as the first contact for EPLAN questions and to support engineers in using the tool effectively. You will develop macros, templates, and libraries, drive standardisation efforts, and contribute to EPLAN roadmaps within the engineering organisation.

You will independently design electrical systems with EPLAN, prepare material specifications, and provide on-site technical support during production and installation.

Qualifications

• EU based candidates only.
• Electrical Engineering degree (MBO/HBO or university).
• Experience with EPLAN and electrical engineering.
• Experience developing EPLAN macros, templates and libraries.
• Affinity with standardisation, digitalisation and improving processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to guide colleagues in adopting new methods.
• Training or user support experience is a plus.
• Experience designing electrical installations and systems.
• Analytical, independent and structured approach.
• Good command of English; Dutch is a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop electrical system designs using EPLAN.
• Prepare specifications for materials and components.
• Provide technical support during production and installation.

• Review and complete new components created by engineers and ensure the quality and completeness of the available information.
• Coordinate with EPLAN administrators and other key‑users regarding developments, upgrades, database management and standardisation.
• Contribute to the roadmap and further development of EPLAN within the engineering organisation.
• Work as an Electrical Engineer on project teams alongside the key‑user activities.
• Independently develop electrical system designs using EPLAN.
• Prepare specifications for materials and components.
• Provide technical support during production and installation.

• Only EU based candidates will be considered.
• Completed technical education at MBO, HBO or university level, preferably in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with EPLAN and a solid understanding of electrical engineering.
• Experience with developing and/or managing EPLAN macros, templates and component libraries.
• Affinity with standardisation, digitalisation and improving engineering processes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to guide colleagues in adopting new working methods.
• Experience providing training or user support is an advantage.
• Experience designing electrical installations and systems.
• Analytical, independent and structured approach to work.
• Good command of English, Dutch is big advantage.
