Job summary

Defion in the Netherlands is seeking a Medior SOC Analyst to join the Detect team in Zoetermeer. You grow into a full-fledged SOC analyst in practice, on real incidents with real clients, guided by medior and senior analysts.

You will work hybrid: three days in the Zoetermeer office and two from home, using Microsoft Defender and Sentinel, CrowdStrike Falcon and other logs to investigate incidents and improve detections.

Qualifications

• Must have MBO-4 or HBO level and genuine interest in cybersecurity.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft environments.
• Dutch and English proficiency at B2 level, spoken and written.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a SOC context.
• Ambition to pursue cybersecurity certifications.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and follow up on security incidents in Defender and Sentinel.
• Dig into alerts under guidance of experienced analysts.
• Learn to analyze incidents, document findings and follow up.
• Help improve detections and optimize work processes.
• Share knowledge with colleagues and build technical skills.
• Understand SLAs with clients regarding speed and quality.
