Job summary

The University of Amsterdam, Amsterdam Center for Health Communication/ ACHC, invites applications for a junior or postdoctoral researcher to support Label2Scale. The role centers on designing and conducting eye-tracking studies to evaluate health app quality labels, with emphasis on users with low digital health literacy.

You will collaborate within an international, interdisciplinary team and contribute to open science dissemination across academia and practice, starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has strong quantitative and experimental research skills and an interest in digital health, (digital) health literacy, and equity.
• Experience with eye-tracking, user-centred design, and/or health-app evaluation is an advantage.
• The candidate should work independently while collaborating effectively in an international, interdisciplinary consortium and have excellent English communication skills and a commitment to open science.

Responsibilities

• Design the research study based on literature review and stakeholder input within Label2Scale.
• Conduct the research using experimental methods including survey and eye-tracking methodologies.
• Prepare findings, materials and data for publications and internal reports following open science principles.
• Present work at (inter)national conferences.
