  • Research un-hallmarked, antique, or unusual items using reference materials and internal documentation.
  • Draft precise product descriptions that capture key features, condition, and stylistic era.
  • Record accurate technical specifications into departmental systems, including dimensions, weights, stone types, and metal purities.
  • Categorise inventory systematically to ensure correct platform placement and search visibility.
Operational Excellence
  • Sort incoming stock efficiently across costume, silver, gold, and antique categories to maintain stock flow.
  • Process items at a consistent pace to meet daily listing targets and prevent department bottlenecks.
  • Maintain clear workspace organisation to safeguard high‑value and delicate inventory during evaluation.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot ambiguous hallmarks, unidentified stones, or complex pieces.
  • Share technical findings and testing techniques across the team to build collective product knowledge.
  • Assist with onboarding new team members by demonstrating inspection processes and cataloguing standards.
What You’ll Bring

  • The aptitude and willingness to learn to work productively and accurately when performing regular tasks, maintaining a high standard.
  • Basic competency with IT and online tools, and a strong desire to learn how to create listings and maintain records on online platforms.
  • Hands‑on experience working directly with jewellery, vintage goods, or precious metals.
  • Practical understanding of hallmarking systems, alloy purities, and core gemstone characteristics.

  • Collaborative mindset with an openness to asking questions and sharing product insights with team members.
  • Prior experience with e-commerce listing workflows or online product database entry.
  • Knowledge of specific historical design movements, such as Victorian, Art Nouveau, or Art Deco jewellery.
  • Familiarity with basic gemmological testing tools, such as loupes, magnet tests, and refractometers.
