Harlem Next in Amsterdam is seeking a Junior Payment Operations Specialist to support day-to-day payment processes and collaborate with internal teams and external payment providers.

You will monitor payments, help resolve issues, and contribute to improving payment workflows while learning in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the payment ecosystem, coordinating with internal stakeholders and payment partners.
  • Monitor and analyze payment and risk performance, identifying irregularities and trends.
  • Ensure payment processes and risk guidelines are followed.
  • Investigate and resolve payment-related issues and customer complaints.
  • Assist with fraud prevention, dispute management, and blacklist handling.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement of payment processes, systems and partner performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with payment services regulations.
  • Translate team objectives into personal development goals.

Role Description

As a Junior Payment Operations Specialist, you won't just be another team member - you'll be a vital part of our success story. You'll be the left-hand of our Payment Operations Manager to ensure smooth payment processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Payment Ecosystem, working closely with internal stakeholders and external payment partners;
  • Monitor and analyse payment and risk performance, identifying irregularities, trends, and potential issues;
  • Ensure payment and risk processes and guidelines are followed;
  • Investigate and resolve payment-related issues and customer complaints;
  • Support fraud prevention and dispute management, including dispute defence, refunds and blacklisting;
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of payment processes, systems and provider performance;
  • Keeping up-to-date with payment services regulations;
  • Translating team objectives into personal goals for growth.
