Vanderlande in Veghel is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to work on international projects with a multidisciplinary team. You will support system design, installation, and commissioning while achieving balance between customer needs and project parameters.

MDG Loop Sorters is responsible for deployment of loop sorters in our global project organization. Besides the execution of loop sorter projects, this includes competence management, development of tooling, and training and supporting Customer Centers (CC’s). These loop sorters (Crossorter and Helixorter) are applied in all three market segments (Airports, Parcel and Warehousing) all over the world. The total team consists of around 70 people (of which 35 in India) and executes projects that range from small sorters with manual induction to large systems with complex sorting algorithms and high capacity automatic inducts. On average the team has about 40 parallel projects in progress and the turnover is about €50 million per year.
The position of Mechanical Project Engineer will give you the opportunity to work on interesting, international projects together with a multidisciplinary team of engineers. The project team is responsible for translating sold systems into detailed system designs. To ensure safety, accessibility and functionality of the complete system, close cooperation with colleagues from other departments is key. During execution you’ll support the installation and commissioning team, either remote or on site. The challenge in this position is to achieve the right balance between the customer requirements, a feasible solution, the available budget and the right scheduling.
