Employment: 38 hours per week (full-time)

Are you a mechanical engineer who enjoys taking on technical challenges and translating ideas into practical solutions? Then we are looking for you.

As (Junior) Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of our engineering department and contribute to designing, improving and building complex machines. You work out technical ideas into clear designs and drawings, think along about constructions and optimisations, and make sure that colleagues in production, service and sales have the right technical information.

You are an engineer who works thoughtfully without losing sight of your colleagues. You keep an eye on the bigger picture, actively seek collaboration and know how to translate technical questions into practice. You are curious, ask questions and want to understand how machines really work. You do not get lost in unnecessary detail, but you know when technical depth is needed. At the same time, you get plenty of room to develop your knowledge, take on more and more responsibility and grow into an independent engineer who can handle complex challenges from A to Z.

What you will do
  • You become part of a compact team of four mechanical engineers and draughtsmen.
  • Contribute technical expertise to the design, construction and optimisation of BOS machines.
  • Translate customer requirements into (assembly) drawings and bills of materials.
  • Write work instructions for assembly.
  • Prepare user manuals and technical documentation for newly built machines, in line with CE marking and the Machinery Directive.
  • Manage article information to support sales and service.
  • Support sales, service and production with technical questions.
  • Work together with sales, service, production, assembly and purchasing.
  • Actively contribute to improvement processes, including Configure-to-Order.
  • Get started immediately with increasing APV machine coverage through reverse engineering, documentation, and item master management of existing APV machines.
What you bring
  • An MBO and/or HBO degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an engineer in machine building.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software Inventor – Vault, ERP software (Exact – Synergy is a plus) and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of drive technology, pneumatics, hydraulics and control engineering is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented attitude.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with machine building for the food industry is a plus.
What we offer
  • A varied and challenging position in an informal environment with enthusiastic colleagues, where you get plenty of freedom for your own input.
  • An excellent salary and secondary employment conditions, depending on your knowledge and experience.
  • Collective labour agreement for the metal industry (CAO Klein Metaal).
  • Opportunities for education and training.
  • Flexible working hours and the option of hybrid working.

The opportunity to grow in the longer term into a broader engineering role, involving machine design, product development, and technical support for Sales and Service.
