Catawiki is seeking a Junior IT Support Specialist in Amsterdam to join our People & IT environment. You’ll support internal teams by taking over tasks from our external reverse logistics vendor and contribute to employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding and offboarding.

This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or those with up to one year of IT support experience, offering hands-on hardware management, eSIM provisioning, and cross-team collaboration with vendors and shipment

About the role

As a Junior IT Support Specialist, you'll gain valuable experience in a dynamic People & IT environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth IT operations by supporting a variety of internal teams across the company. Your responsibilities will include taking over tasks previously handled by our external reverse logistics vendor, contributing directly to employee lifecycle processes like onboarding and offboarding, and providing essential IT support. This role is ideal for recent graduates, individuals with up to one year of IT support experience, or those looking to pivot into the IT field.

What you’ll do

• Onboarding: Ensure that the new IT equipment for new employees is ready, including the availability of needed accessories such as cables, keyboards, etc., ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience.
• Onboarding Logistics: Manage the logistics of hardware, including the preparation, distribution, and tracking of employee IT assets such as MacBooks, peripherals, and accessories.
• Onboarding Support: Provide immediate support for any onboarding-related issues, maintain accurate documentation of onboarding processes, and ensure all tickets are resolved properly.
• Offboarding Logistics: Handle offboarding logistics by coordinating the return of company-owned devices and equipment with leaving employees on time and efficiently.
• Offboarding Communication: Communicate clearly with departing employees and managers to ensure an organized offboarding process, and audit to ensure completion of all offboarding tasks.
• Asset & Logistics Management: Take full responsibility for managing IT hardware logistics, including handling repairs, replacements, tracking asset inventory, and managing stock in our offices.
• Vendor Management: Work closely with external vendors to manage equipment returns and replacements, identifying and working with vendors to ensure the best pricing and quality offers.
• eSIM Management: Handle and manage eSIM requests for employees, provisioning profiles and coordinating with telecom service providers as needed.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with employees, managers, IT team members, accessory vendors, MacBook fleet logistics vendors, and shipment providers (e.g., DHL, FedEx).

What you’ll bring

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (additional European languages are a plus).
• A hands-on mentality, with a willingness to be physically present in the office four days a week to provide in-person support.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a desire to understand and address the root causes of technical issues.
• A passion for learning, with a commitment to staying updated on IT trends and technologies.
