Job summary

VolkerRail seeks a Junior Engineer Underground Infrastructure to learn and grow into a full Engineer-A. You will design and detail cable and conduit routes along railways and NS stations, ensure designs are constructible and compliant with current standards, and work on smart, safe, future-ready railway infra solutions.

Based in Vianen, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team with extensive training, hybrid work, and generous benefits including 43 holidays, a bike lease, pension, and OpenUp

Qualifications

• MBO- or HBO-technical training is required.
• Excellent Dutch language skills are required.
• Interest in underground infra, technology or rail is essential.
• Independent, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Experience with design/ drafting is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cable and conduit routes in MicroStation.
• Collect and process project information, requirements and regulations.
• Prepare designs for construction execution.
• Coordinate technical solutions with engineers, work planners and craftsmen.
• Monitor progress and delivery milestones of your design work.
• Process digital inputs such as ground-penetrating radar, LIDAR, GIS and GPS data.
• Contribute to BIM projects within a fully digital design environment.
• Develop knowledge towards an independent engineer role.
