Job summary

Silverflow is seeking a Data Engineer to build and operate the data platform. You will design ETL pipelines, implement production-grade code, and maintain infrastructure as code in AWS. This software-first role favors engineers who can own end-to-end data systems with mentoring from a senior team.

With 1–3 years in a software-heavy role, you will work with SQL, APIs, and data quality checks while collaborating with product and analytics teams to enable reporting, reconciliation, and AI tooling.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a software engineering, data engineering, or similarly software-heavy role.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, ideally Python, TypeScript and/or Go (Rust/ Java / Scala also welcome).
• Solid software fundamentals: testing, version control (git), debugging, and clean, maintainable code.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data processing concepts (data quality, root-cause analysis).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
• Exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of APIs and system communication.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Able to operate in a fast-paced, self-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines.
• Write well-tested, readable, production-ready code and participate in code reviews.
• Deploy and maintain data infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Instrument data-quality and observability checks.
• Support our AI tooling and automation platform - data agents, self-serve query access, and workflow automation.
• Support engineering teams in selecting and implementing suitable technologies.
• Support product and business teams with internal tooling and datasets.
