Job description

iOS Software Engineer

Our shop is one of the most visible but also very innovative parts of bol. Our main objective is to safeguard the shop and ensure uninterrupted shopping experiences for our customers. In our relentless pursuit of maintaining the store as the foremost successful retail platform, we are continuously dedicated to enhancing it.

What you do as iOS Software Engineer

Your expertise would be a real asset to our team! Because you know everything there is to know about:

  • SwiftUI and the pitfalls of adopting new tech, and of course Auto-Layout and we’re talking about code (not clicking things together in the Interface Builder).
  • You love high performance, and code that is both elegant and maintainable.
  • Perhaps your best quality: your knowledge extends beyond your own domain, and you can effortlessly exchange ideas with colleagues from other disciplines.
  • You also know your way around: Swift Testing, XCTest (unit and snapshot testing), GraphQL, Dependency Injection, Modular codebase, Memory Management, Modern Concurrency and parallel code in a structured way.
  • Also: you’re not afraid to innovate and use everything the latest technologies have to offer.
Where you’ll work

You’ll join an agile working team within IT Consumer Conversion, where you will work on the Product Page and the Wishlist amongst others.
The culture? Think ‘campus’, including a game room and soccer field. Despite our size, we poke fun at rigid rules and traditional work structures. We may be a market leader, but you won’t get a whiff of the corporate odor you associate with that. Our strength derives from working together as equals and constantly improving each other. After all, you can accomplish great things on your own, but so much more with your colleagues!
Many opportunities to learn with trainings, (in-house) courses and regular guest speakers.
As for our ways of working, check out the videos. For info on current challenges (yep, we share code), visit the Techlab!
