Philips is offering an internship in Sales and Business Development in Amsterdam, supporting the commercial growth of AM&D across Europe with sales, marketing support and analytics.
You will work with sales managers across countries, identify opportunities, run campaigns, and prepare market insights to drive data‑driven decisions. English is the day-to-day language; Dutch is a plus.
Job Title Internship: Sales and Business Development Job Description Start Date: as soon as possible Duration: at least 6 months Type: Internship (thesis possible, but not primary focus) Weekly Presence: 40h (minimum 32h) Location: Amsterdam (3x per week) Internship: Sales and Business Development Support the commercial growth of Philips Ambulatory Monitoring & Diagnostics across Europe by combining sales activities, customer follow-up, marketing support, and commercial analytics. You will work closely with sales managers and account teams across different countries to help identify commercial opportunities, follow up with customers, support upselling activities, and contribute to campaigns that drive adoption of AM&D solutions. This internship offers strong exposure to international sales, marketing execution, customer engagement, and data-driven commercial decision-making within a fast-growing healthcare technology business.
Your role: Supporting the sales team in identifying, prioritizing, and following up on commercial opportunities across International Markets. Helping drive upsell and cross-sell activities within the existing AM&D installed base. Following up with customers and prospects, in coordination with local sales managers and account teams. Supporting lead generation activities, including customer segmentation, opportunity mapping, and pipeline follow-up. Preparing customer and market insights to help sales teams focus on the right accounts and opportunities and help with day-to-day reporting. Supporting marketing and sales campaigns, including campaign preparation, follow-up tracking, and performance analysis. Collaborating with sales managers in different countries to provide visibility on commercial progress and support local execution. Participating in strategic commercial projects to improve business performance or explore new growth opportunities.
You're the right fit if: You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Healthcare Management, or a related field. You have strong commercial mindset and interest in sales, customer engagement, and business development. You are comfortable communicating with internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, customers or prospects. You have good analytical skills and ability to translate data into clear commercial insights. You have strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Power BI, CRM systems, or sales dashboards is a plus. You have a good level of English, as this will be the day-to-day working language. Native Dutch speaking is a pre. You have strong communication and organizational skills. You have interest in healthcare technology, medical devices, digital health, or patient monitoring is a plus.
How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata. Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours. Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net. Paid holidays per internship term.
