MVRDV invites an urbanism/landscape architecture intern to join an energetic, international team in Rotterdam. The internship runs March 2027 to August 2027, requiring full-time on-site work and active participation in concept development, drawings, and visualizations.

You will learn from industry leaders and contribute to ambitious projects. Applicants must be enrolled throughout the internship, have strong CAD and Adobe skills, and be proficient in English.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship (proof of enrolment required).
• Excellent verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong CAD and design skills required; proficient in Adobe Suite and rendering tools.

Interviews will follow between November 23rd till December 11th.

Successful candidates start on March 1st.

Important: You must remain enrolled in an eligible university study program between the 1 March 2027 and 31 August to be considered for an internship.

About Urban & Landscape

The Urban & Landscape design collective at MVRDV is responsible for designing livable and sustainable cities and neighborhoods. The design collective works on a wide range of projects, from masterplans for new cities to urban design guidelines for existing cities and from regional landscape design to public space design and detailing. Job requirements

We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) urbanism/landscape architecture intern to join us on-site (at the office 5 days a week) from March 1st 2027 to August 31st for an exciting 6‑month internship. More specifically, we are looking for students with:

• Strong design and CAD skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite and solid 2D and 3D rendering abilities, knowledge of GIS is a plus.
• Ability to work well in international teams
• Excellent verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus
• Authorised to work in the Netherlands (through being an EU citizen, having a Dutch student permit, working holiday permit or Erasmus+)
• Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship (proof of enrolment required)
