Van Oys Maastricht Retreat is a leading 5‑star hotel located on the banks of the Maas, just 5 km from Maastricht city centre. The resort will feature 81 luxury rooms and suites spread across the Chateau, the Remise and the Carré, blending elegance, comfort and eco‑luxe. The estate will house several F&B venues, including the Chateau restaurant Maes, Cuisine du Terroir, and an international‑oriented hotel bar. The Remise will host a fine‑dining restaurant, while a culinary studio and wine cellar are in development. A Nature Spa & Gym in the Carré will promote wellness and relaxation. The project follows Cittaslow philosophy, emphasising sustainable practices, community engagement and the use of local products, with regional goods available in the boutique.

International Account Manager | fulltime

We are looking for an energetic professional to join our sales team as an International Account Manager. You will identify new opportunities, develop tailored marketing strategies, support cross‑selling initiatives and strengthen relationships through networking events. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales & Revenue and other Sales & Marketing colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively seek new sales opportunities and attract potential business for Van Oys, in both business and leisure markets.
  • Develop, with the Director of Sales & Revenue, customised marketing and sales strategies to reinforce brand positioning and drive revenue.
  • Exceed budgeted targets through proactive, alert and creative approaches.
  • Identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities and implement them where possible.
  • Organise on‑site networking events to create new relationships and deepen existing bonds.
  • Actively participate in external networking events, trade fairs and other occasions to enhance brand awareness and build business relationships.
  • Work closely with Sales & Marketing team members, reporting to the Director of Sales.
  • Continuously study the dynamic hotel market and follow the latest trends and developments in hospitality.
  • Work independently, with a flexible travel schedule, being on‑site in the Maastricht region 1–2 days per week, the remaining days travelling.
  • Enjoy meeting new people and perform as a vibrant public face of Van Oys, with a large smile.
Qualifications
  • Relevant work experience in luxury hospitality (preferably 5‑star level, under renowned international labels).
  • Excellent written and spoken Dutch and English. German and/or French are a plus.
  • Strong network built in the Netherlands, Flanders and preferably Wallonia and Germany.
  • Familiar with hotel software such as Opera (or quickly learn it) and other commonly used software.
  • Flexibility to travel; 1‑2 days per week in the Maastricht region, remaining days on the road, not necessarily based in Limburg.
  • Commercially driven, strong networking and negotiation skills, with proven success in sales targets.
  • Team‑player with a proactive, positive attitude and driven to achieve results as part of a team.
