FrieslandCampina in Wageningen is offering a full-time Nutrition Substantiation Intern role for 6 months beginning January 2027. The intern will help build an evidence directory, map and structure scientific data to support nutrition and health claims, and translate complex science for healthcare professionals across platforms.

Work with multidisciplinary teams in Nutrition, Medical, Regulatory, and R&D, gaining hands-on experience in evidence management and scientific communication.

As a Nutrition Substantiation Intern, you will aid in the creation of a comprehensive evidence directory of communications within the Specialized Nutrition portfolio. You will map, evaluate, and structure scientific evidence supporting nutrition and health claims, creating a repository that improves knowledge accessibility, strengthens claim substantiation, and supports future innovation, regulatory, and scientific communication activities. In addition, you will support the translation of complex scientific information into accurate, engaging, and audience-focused communications for healthcare professionals across multiple platforms. During this internship, you will gain experience in nutrition substantiation, evidence management, scientific communication, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across Nutrition, Medical, Regulatory, and R&D functions. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop both analytical and pragmatic skills in a research and development environment. This full-time internship will run for 6 months, starting in January 2027.

What we ask:

• Currently pursuing the final year of a relevant MSc degree in Nutrition, Health, Food, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
• Experience conducting literature reviews
• Ability to critically assess scientific publications
• Affinity with scientific writing and evidence-based communication
• Skillful communicator within R&D and towards colleagues, in English language, both oral and written
• Highly independent and organized, with strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex scientific information into clear, actionable insights and structured overviews
• Starting from January 2027 and be at least 2 days in the office.
• 4-6 months available
• 32-40 hours per week
