Job summary

MSD is seeking a motivated third‑ or fourth‑year student for the Intern – Logistics/Supply Chain Management - Import & Export in Haarlem, Netherlands. You will join the CoE Import/Export team, assisting on import and export processes across EMEA, ensuring compliance and timely documentation.

The role offers hybrid work, a chance to gain pharma logistics experience, and an internship allowance of €500 gross per month based on a 40-hour week. Minimum 6 months, 4–5 days weekly.

Qualifications

• HBO/WO student in Logistics or International Business or related field.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate clearly.
• Willing to commit to a period of at least 6 months and 4–5 days a week.

The CoE Import /Export has a front row seat in at what is happening in the world in terms of Import & Export across the EMEA region and beyond. Our responsibility is that our goods are imported and exported effectively & compliantly to over 120 countries worldwide. The team in Netherlands consists of 3 people, all of whom have extensive knowledge and experience in supply chain management & trade compliance. The team works closely with other Regional Transportation, Global Trade Compliance, International Tax & Finance, and Planning & Logistics to ensure that our products reach all patients wherever they may be located. **Your internship assignment*** Research and Assist Import & Export projects.* Understand EU import and export laws and regulations and how they apply to a global pharmaceutical company.* Verify our processes & internal controls.* Assist import and export staff with daily shipment compliance reviews.* Providing a fresh perspective to the department by sharing your opinion.The tasks described form the basic package and will often be performed independently after a proper training and learning period.
