Job summary

G-Star RAW in Amsterdam is offering a full-time 6-month Internship in Design Denim starting January/February 2027. You will use digital tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, and CLO 3D to develop collections while learning the end-to-end design process.

You will research trends, create boards, work with the archive, attend design meetings, build mock-ups, and prepare tech packs for factories. Applicants must be enrolled in a Dutch university, reside in the Netherlands, have a BSN, and be fluent in

Qualifications

• Enrolled at a university/college in the Netherlands during the internship.
• Living in the Netherlands and possessing a BSN.
• Non-EU students must have a mandatory internship assignment.

Responsibilities

• Researching market trends online for fit, silhouette, fabric, washes, treatments and color direction.
• Create boards/overviews for design presentations.
• Research in the G-Star archive (23,000 vintage garments) for specific garments or details.
• Attend design meetings to learn about all aspects of the design process.
• Create mock-ups of design ideas (pockets, sleeves, hoods) in the G-Star Atelier.
• Create and update tech-packs for factories to produce designs.

Here’s what we’ll do together:

Is your passion for product as high as ours? In this internship, you will learn how a global design-lead brand operates and works. To use all the tools required to create a collection: digital (Illustrator, Photoshop and CLO 3D), physical (sewing and making), how a denim brand creates products with a consistent look and feel that adhere to a specific design DNA.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

As our new Intern Design Denim, you help with:

• Researching market trends online for fit/silhouette, fabric, washes, treatments, color and design direction. Furthermore you will be:
• Making boards/overviews for design presentations
• Conducting research in the G-Star archive (consisting of 23,000 vintage garments) for specific garments or details
• Attending design meetings with your designer to learn about all aspects of the design process.
• Making mock-ups of design ideas, such as pockets, sleeves, hoods etc. in the G-Star Atelier.
• Creating and updating tech-packs ready to be sent to factories in order for them to produce our designs.

Here’s what you bring to the table:

• A positive attitude with a willingness to work hard as part of team.
• Flexibility with regards to the tasks you will be asked to perform.
• A passion for design and a keenness to learn.
• You know your way around Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (CLO 3D experience is welcome).
• A creative and exploratory mind.
• You are available full-time (40hrs per week) for a period of 6 months starting in January/February 2027.
• You are already living in the Netherlands and are in the possession of a BSN.
• You are enrolled at a university or college in the Netherlands during the whole length of the internship.
• If you are a non-EU student in The Netherlands, you are in possession of a mandatory internship assignment.†

• You are a student of a Bachelor/Master in Fashion Design or a related education.
• Finally, are you flexible creative and innovative? Do you have an excellent verbal and written communication skills in English? Then we’d love to meet you!
