Job summary

Aegon Asset Management is offering an internship with the Corporate & People Communication team. You will assist in turning strategy into engaging narratives and support communication planning, content creation, and channel development.

The role emphasizes employee engagement, leadership communication, and change communication in an international setting, with the Director of Corporate & People Communication guiding your work. A hybrid office arrangement in Amsterdam/Schiphol is available.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant university-level or HBO program.
• Available to start in October 2026 for a minimum of 3 months.
• Willing to work full-time, ideally at least 3 days per week from Amsterdam/Schiphol office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Well organized, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Creative thinker with an interest in emerging technologies and new communication tools.
• Native or near-native English.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of communication plans.
• Contribute to content creation, including writing and editing articles.
• Support the development and effective use of communication channels, e.g., proposing ideas to increase engagement on Viva Engage.
• Assist with organizing and executing town halls and other internal events.

The Corporate & People Communication team supports alignment across Aegon Asset Management by connecting employees and other stakeholders to our strategy and culture. Role Purpose

We are looking for a motivated, adaptable, and enthusiastic intern with a strong interest in employee engagement, leadership communication, corporate communication, and change communication.

In this role, you will work closely with Marielle Harsveldt, Director of Corporate & People Communication, and support the team in the development and execution of communication initiatives within a fastpaced, commercial, international environment.

You will collaborate with colleagues across Aegon Asset Management and contribute to communication planning, content creation, and channel development. We value creativity and are keen to hear your ideas on how to spark conversation and engagement across the organization.

As the role involves managing multiple, often timesensitive activities, the ability to prioritize and work in a structured way is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of communication plans
• Contribute to content creation, including writing and editing articles
• Support the development and effective use of communication channels, for example by proposing ideas to increase engagement on Viva Engage
• Assist with the organization and execution of town halls and other internal events

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a relevant universitylevel or HBO program (e.g. Communications, Media, Journalism, Marketing)
• Available to start flexibly, preferably in October 2026, for a minimum of 3 months
• Able to work full time, ideally at least 3 days per week from our Amsterdam (Schiphol) office (A fourday working week can be discussed)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Well organized, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team
• Creative thinker with an interest in emerging technologies and new communication tools
• Native or nearnative English

Terms

• Internship stipend of €650 per month
• A personal laptop provided for the duration of the internship
• Personal guidance and handson learning
• A Dutch BSN number and Dutch bank account are required
• NonEU/EEA students must have a valid residence permit stating “arbeid vrij toegestaan”
