Job summary

Simon-Kucher in Amsterdam invites motivated students to join as an Intern/Associate Consultant Data Science. The role focuses on LLMs, NLP, and data-driven consulting across UK and NL projects.

Interns typically work 4–6 months, with responsibility from day one and exposure to seasoned Consultants, Directors, and Partners. You must be enrolled at a university and able to work from the Amsterdam office during the internship.

Qualifications

• VWO and bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field completed with above-average results.
• Strong knowledge of ML, statistical modelling and NLP techniques.
• Programming experience in Python or R with NLP libraries.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of project teams driving top-line growth for clients in UK and NL.

How you will create an impact:

• You will be an integral part of project teams driving top-line growth for clients, mainly across UK and Netherlands projects.

Your profile:

• You have completed both your VWO and bachelor's degree with above-average study results in a quantitative field, such as computer science, engineering, statistics, operational research, data science, or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of Machine Learning, statistical modelling, and NLP techniques.
• Strong programming skills in R and/or Python, with experience in NLP libraries and frameworks.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex data insights.
• High percentile numerical, deductive, and inductive reasoning skills.
• A strong desire to work in a fast-paced, commercially agile environment.
• A keen interest in commercial strategy and a desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong enthusiasm, curiosity, and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes.

Internships within the Data Science team usually last around 4 to 6 months and are designed to expose individuals to working on client projects. Interns can expect responsibility from the outset as a valued member of the project team. Throughout your time at Simon-Kucher, you will contribute to analysis and results and can benefit from working alongside experienced Consultants, Directors, and Partners. To be eligible for the internship, you must be enrolled at a university and able to work from our Amsterdam office during the internship period.
