Job summary

Ericsson Netherlands is seeking a proactive FLOC professional to support the VodafoneZiggo Test Centre in Heerlen. You will coordinate project intake, manage test environments and asset lifecycles, and collaborate across engineers, project teams and security providers in a hands-on, safety‑conscious role.

The position focuses on coordinating equipment, access and safety in a dynamic telecom lab environment, with strong emphasis on documentation, change management and stakeholder alignment

Qualifications

• MBO-4, HBO or bachelor-level education or equivalent practical experience in telecom, IT, electrical engineering, facility operations or technical service coordination.
• Hands-on, service-oriented approach with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to obtain ESD and VCA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Own the FLOC-VTC project intake process, coordinate requirements, planning and documentation.
• Manage test-environment configurations, SharePoint info, equipment, stock and asset lifecycle.
• Support and maintain test tools, VMTU units, shielded test rooms, and remote test environments.
• Ensure compliance with ESD and VCA requirements; coordinate facilities, security, maintenance and upgrades.
• Manage building access and daily opening/closing of VTC Heerlen.
• Act as central contact for stakeholders, building management, security, suppliers and tenants.
• Organise daily RFC-CAB discussions; clarify change impacts and monitor risks and dependencies.
• Provide weekly reporting and dashboards; drive standardisation and automation of FLOC workflows.

Are you at the start of your career and looking for a hands‑on role where technology, people and operations come together? Ericsson Netherlands is looking for a First Line of Contact (FLOC) professional to support the VodafoneZiggo Test Centre (VTC) in Heerlen.

In this role, you become one of the key people who keep the test centre running smoothly. Together with your FLOC colleague, you help make sure colleagues, engineers and project teams can work safely, efficiently and with the right equipment, access and information.

This is a great opportunity for someone who likes variety: one moment you are helping with project intake or planning, the next you are coordinating equipment, access, safety or a technical setup in the lab. You will learn how a real telecom test environment works and build practical experience with modern networks, digital tools and stakeholder coordination.

What you will do

• Own the FLOC-VTC project intake process and coordinate requirements, dependencies, planning and operational documentation.
• Manage test-environment configurations, SharePoint information, equipment, stock, deliveries and the full asset lifecycle.
• Support and maintain test tools, VMTU remote test units, shielded test rooms, remote test environments and new network scenarios.
• Ensure compliance with ESD and VCA requirements and coordinate facility, security, maintenance and upgrade activities.
• Manage building access and share responsibility for the daily opening and closing of VTC Heerlen.
• Act as the central contact for stakeholders, building management, security providers, suppliers and other tenants.
• Organise daily RFC-CAB discussions, clarify change impacts and monitor risks, dependencies and follow-up actions.
• Provide weekly reporting and dashboards and improve FLOC ways of working through standardisation, modernisation and automation.

The skills you bring

• Relevant MBO-4, HBO or Bachelor-level education, or equivalent practical experience, in Telecom, IT, Electrical Engineering, Facility Operations or Technical Service Coordination.
• A hands‑on, service‑oriented approach with strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable working with technical equipment and coordinating with different stakeholders.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and requirements.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools.
• Clear communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• Ability to work consistently on‑site as required by the role.
• Willingness to obtain the required ESD and VCA certifications.
