Job summary

Talland College in Noord-Holland is seeking a Dutch and citizenship teacher for the AVO Engineering program, with a 0.6 FTE contract. You will teach Dutch and citizenship to students across engineering courses, using practical examples from professional practice, and support other teachers with language development.

The role involves developing Dutch lessons with colleagues, teaching mainly in Zaandam, and participating in a corporate training trip to Zaandam and Purmerend.

Qualifications

• Second-grade teaching qualification for Dutch language or currently in teacher training.
• Pabo qualification negotiable with willingness to undertake further training.
• Aware of recent developments in Dutch language for vocational education and knows how to link to vocational tasks.
• Familiar with ICT in education.
• Own transport and willingness to work at various outdoor locations.
• Team player, flexible with humor and openness to improvement.
• Experience with young adult learners is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Teach Dutch and citizenship to students in the Engineering sector across courses and levels.
• Use engaging examples from students' professional practice.
• Support subject teachers and mentors with language development.
• Develop lessons and educational programmes for Dutch with colleagues.
• Most lessons in Zaandam; include a corporate training trip to Zaandam and Purmerend.
