Job summary

Boar's Head Brand is seeking a maintenance operator to independently manage central utility systems, including ammonia refrigeration, boilers/steam, compressed air, and water utilities. The role emphasizes timely and effective coverage, safety, and GMP/SOP compliance within the plant.

Strong communication with all plant levels is essential, as is following written and oral instructions and maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years industrial refrigeration/HVAC experience.
• Working knowledge of basic industrial electricity and utilities.
• Ammonia operator 1 certification (Garden City or equivalent) a plus.
• Boiler and steam systems a plus.
• Compressed air systems a plus.
• Water (potable) systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Opens valves on equipment such as compressors, pumps, and condensers to prepare system for operation and starts equipment and auxiliary machinery.
