Job summary

Johnson Controls Industrial Refrigeration in Gorinchem, Netherlands, seeks a Project Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation systems for industrial refrigeration installations.

You will translate process requirements into robust automation solutions, oversee projects from concept through commissioning, and collaborate with Automation, Electrical, Project Management, Operations and Service teams to ensure safe, reliable, and energy-efficient operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years in industrial automation.
Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal, PLC programming, and HMI systems.
Experience with Modbus, Profibus and Profinet in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement automation systems for industrial refrigeration installations.
Translate process requirements into automation solutions and oversee projects from concept to delivery.
Program, configure and test Siemens PLC, HMI and SCADA solutions.
Configure field devices, drives and instrumentation; integrate Modbus/Profibus/Profinet networks.
Prepare functional descriptions and technical documentation; support FAT and SAT and commissioning.
