Job summary

Radley James is partnering with a Global HFT firm to recruit a Quantitative Researcher for Amsterdam. The role offers significant ownership over research projects with direct impact on live trading strategies, while collaborating with traders, developers and senior decision-makers.

You will work across multiple markets, analyze large datasets, and develop robust models. The firm is scaling globally and values analytical excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years' experience in quantitative research or similar.
• Strong academic background in Mathematics, CS, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• Solid knowledge of statistics, probability, optimisation and quantitative modelling.
• Experience developing and evaluating systematic trading strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and research systematic trading strategies across multiple markets.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trading opportunities and market inefficiencies.
• Develop, test and validate statistical and mathematical models.
• Conduct backtesting and strategy evaluation, analysing performance and risk.
• Work closely with traders and developers to take research ideas into production.
• Improve existing strategies and research methodologies.
• Explore new markets as the firm expands globally.
• Present research findings and ideas to senior stakeholders.
