Job summary

Optics11 Life seeks a Mechanical Development Engineer (Hydrophone Sensor) to translate requirements into robust hydrophone solutions throughout the product lifecycle. You will develop assemblies, housings, and interfaces, producing detailed designs and documentation while collaborating with product, verification, and manufacturing teams.

You will contribute to acoustic characterization, model validation, and design improvements, leveraging CAD skills and scripting for analysis.

Qualifications

• Able to translate product requirements into robust mechanical solutions.
• 2–5 years in precision mechanical design or instrument development.
• Experience with CAD and engineering analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop hydrophone sensor assemblies, housings, and interfaces across the product lifecycle.
• Produce detailed mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Support prototype development, testing, and verification activities.
• Analyze results, identify issues, and implement design improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and document progress clearly.
