Job summary

EY is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will manage AKS workloads, implement Terraform-based infrastructure and develop Python automation to streamline operations.

The role emphasizes secure, scalable architectures, proactive monitoring and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams across globally distributed environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong practical expertise in Azure cloud platform services.
• Proven production experience with Kubernetes and AKS.
• Demonstrated experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Strong Python scripting and automation capabilities.
• Experience working in enterprise production environments with high availability and security requirements.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure with a focus on scalability, security, reliability and cost optimization.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes and AKS workloads in production environments.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules and multi-environment deployment patterns.
• Develop Python-based automation solutions to streamline operational processes and cloud provisioning.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions for automated testing and governance.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, security specialists and operations teams to improve platform stability.
• Support incident management activities, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to DevSecOps practices by integrating security controls into engineering workflows.
• Document platform standards, architecture patterns and procedures for long-term maintainability.
