Responsibilities
- Promoting HSE performance in line with Goal Zero and driving continuous improvement
- Ensure all operations align with Dutch HSE legislation, environmental regulations, and client-specific requirements
- Lead Risk Assessments (RI&E) and workplace inspections to stay ahead of potential hazards
- Increasing safety awareness within teams and contractors
- Coaching employees on HSE leadership, behaviour and competence development
- Advising and supporting the preparation and implementation of HSE audit and assurance plans
- Share, standardize, and implement best practices with regional teams and counterparts
- Stimulating behavioural safety and culture change within Permit to Work teams
- Ensure that effective coordination procedures are in place for safe execution of work
- Maintaining strong relationships with teams working with PTW and work authorization processes
- Acting as an escalation point for HSE issues and coaching on planning and risk management
- Supporting the development and simplification of local procedures and management systems
- Facilitating Management of Change processes
- Leading or supporting incident investigations and follow-up of improvement measures
Qualifications
- A completed MVK (Middelbare Veiligheidskunde) or HVK (Hogere Veiligheidskunde) qualification
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience; HBO thinking with a hands-on mentality
- A hands-on attitude and the ability to take on matters independently
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems
- Experience in analysing data from several sources (external and internal)
- Strong command of both Dutch and English (English is frequently used on site)
