Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to fill a hybrid role of Hostel Reception & Bartender. This position is a unique blend of receptionist duties and bar service, catering to our guests' needs while ensuring they have a fantastic time during their stay. We are looking for an all-rounder individual who is ready to take up any challenge, also willing to do some occasional breakfast or cleaning shifts.

Responsibilities

• Receptionist Duties:
  • Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs.
  • Provide detailed information about hostel facilities, local attractions, and events.
  • Handle reservations and guest inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and communal spaces.
• Bar Host Duties:
  • Serve a variety of beverages and snacks at the hostel bar, ensuring high-quality service.
  • Create a lively and inviting atmosphere, encouraging guests to mingle and enjoy themselves.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, adhering to cash handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid working permit for the Netherlands is an abosult must.
• Fluent in spoken and written English, other languages are a plus.
• Previous experience in hospitality, ideally in both reception and bar roles, but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for customer service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Enthusiastic and outgoing personality, with a genuine interest in meeting new people.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
