Job summary

JetBrains Air is seeking a Head of Data Science and Analytics to lead our data science, analytics, and data engineering for the JetBrains Air platform. You’ll shape data strategy, partner with product, engineering, and leadership, and build a high-performing team to guide product direction and growth.

Day to day you’ll own data infrastructure, establish metrics, and enable self-service analytics across product and go‑to‑market efforts, driving data-informed decision making at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and scaling a data function in a product-led, B2B SaaS, AI, or developer tools environment.
• Deep understanding of modern data science and analytics practices (cohort analysis, A/B testing, segmentation, ML applications).
• Solid grasp of data engineering fundamentals (data modeling, orchestration).

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a cohesive team of data scientists, analysts, and data engineers.
• Establish a rigorous experimentation culture to test and measure product changes.
• Uncover insights across the customer journey to improve acquisition, retention, and monetization.
• Establish scalable analytics foundations with clear metrics, data models, and self-service reporting.
• Partner with engineering to design robust, compliant data infrastructure and pipelines.
• Guide development of ML capabilities to enhance marketing, product personalization, and efficiency.

JetBrains Air is an AI-native software development platform that connects developer workflows, collaboration, and control into a single system. Because this is a major strategic focus for us, we need a strong data function to help guide it. As Head of Data Science and Analytics for JetBrains Air, you’ll lead our data science, analytics, and data engineering capabilities for both the product and go-to-market domains.

By building a high-performing team, you’ll help us use data to navigate product direction, optimize product and go-to-market decisions, and accelerate growth. You’ll own the data strategy for JetBrains AI, partnering closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure our data infrastructure scales smoothly alongside our ambitions.

• Define the business unit's data strategy to support product and engineering priorities.

• A solid grasp of data engineering fundamentals, such as data modeling, and orchestration.
• A track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing multidisciplinary data teams.
• Willingness to learn fast and find practical solutions to hard problems.
