Job summary

Avantor in Hillegom, Netherlands, is seeking a Project Manager – Single‑Use Systems to lead end‑to‑end delivery of custom single‑use hardware systems. You will guide projects from contract signing through engineering, manufacturing, installation, and handover to customers, working with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers.

• Acting as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Developing project plans, schedules, progress reports, and presentations.
• Coordinating internal stakeholders across R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial teams.
• Managing suppliers and subcontractors, including purchase orders and follow-up activities.
• Working closely with co-design partners and external contractors to ensure successful delivery.
• Leading critical project milestones including FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ activities, and final customer approval.
• Ensuring timely delivery of all required project documentation.
• Coaching and motivating project team members while promoting accountability and collaboration.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.

Under general supervision, assists in the planning and execution of product R&D projects while adhering to budget, scope and schedule requirements. Helps ensure consistent practices throughout all phases of the project life cycle. Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols and quantitative analyses. Executes high quality, integrated cross‑functional plans for projects. Applies best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects. Interacts with research and development, marketing, manufacturing and regulatory departments.

What You’ll Be Doing
