Your position

You will be mentoring and guiding a group of individual agile team members, supporting their personal and technical growth. Where our self-steering teams and our community approaches focus on the development of strong multi-disciplinary teams, the Group Leader has a focus on the personal development and well‑being of our individual employees.

You will be involved in hiring new talent, support their onboarding to the self‑steering teams and mentor them throughout the year to ensure continuous growth. As line‑manager you build a strong relationship with each of your direct reports and make sure they remain motivated and ready to take on their next challenges.

Next to the above, you will use your experience to coach multiple teams on the Agile mindset and DevOps principals.

Your department

The Digital Service Platform is part of the Vanderlande Technology Department. The DSP is turning operational data into operational insight and builds an advanced digital product portfolio that expands on the existing product portfolio for our Airport, Warehouse and Distribution customers. We work for and co‑create with key players in multiple markets around the globe. The DSP is home to a very diverse group of data driven specialists, varying from Data Scientist to UX‑designer and from Data Engineer to DevOps Engineer.

Your Responsibilities

• You will be able to keep your technical heart beating, supporting engineers from several disciplines in their personal and professional growth. As line manager you will make sure your direct reports are contributing well in our high performance culture, delivering on the promises to our customers. As their mentor you will make sure challenging and reachable goals are set and supported from spark to done.
• Day to day care for the work well‑being of each of your entrusted direct reports.
• Facilitate the yearly performance and growth cycle. Setting and communicating Vanderlande and DSP goals/targets and defining the community contribution expected from each individual.
• Support the forging of the personal development plan and encourage the definition of reachable and challenging personal growth ambitions.
• On monthly basis have mentoring sessions to keep clarity on well‑being and progress, allow regular feedback and grow/keep strong relationships.
• Coach the Agile Mindset within DSP and be an Agile ambassador towards our colleagues and customers.
• Support our guild and community efforts to foster the community driven continuous learning, sharing and growth that makes our agile development community thrive.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives

Your qualifications and skills

• You are energetic and people oriented.
• You love technology and thrive in fast paced digital R&D environments.
• You love to support and empower others do and be their best.
• You have multiple years of experience working in the forefront of modern data and cloud driven development projects. Potential fitting previous roles are Senior/Lead Developer/Tester/DevOps, Scrum Master, Product Owner and/or Chapter Lead.
• You have been training and mentoring others and have shown to be successful helping them continuously improve. Proven training and Certifications on coaching and mentoring are a plus.
• You take pride in the collective and individual success of your direct reports, our department and Vanderlande.
• You are a smart self‑starter with a pragmatic mindset and pro‑active spirit.
• You write and speak fluent English.
• You have a Bachelor Degree or Master Degree and acquired at least 8 years of relevant working experience.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 5449 to € 7396 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
