Job summary

Carrière zoekt een praktijkgerichte Greenhouse/ Crop Worker in Wageningen om dagelijks data te verzamelen en te registreren, planten te verzorgen en teelten te ondersteunen. Je werkt in een dynamische kasomgeving met aandacht voor precisie en veiligheid.

Je werkt van maandag tot vrijdag 08:00–17:00, met groeimogelijkheden in verschillende gewassen en processen, en je neemt deel aan internationale en innovatieve landbouwprojecten. Een combinatie van Engelse en Nederlandse vaardigheden is gewenst.

Qualifications

• Vermelden van gegevens in ons systeem nauwkeurig en tijdig.
• Vaardigheid in data-invoer en -verwerking is vereist.
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in Engels en/of Nederlands.

Responsibilities

• Verzamelen van data in de kas en nauwkeurig invoeren in ons systeem.
• Ondersteunen bij het planten en start van teelten in periodes.
• Uitvoeren van plantzorg-activiteiten zoals zaaien, water geven, snoeien en oogsten.
• Controle van data en zorgen voor netheid en orde in de werkomgevingen.
• Samenwerken met het team bij testen en logistieke taken.

As a Greenhouse Worker in Wageningen, you will play an important role in supporting high-quality plant care and daily greenhouse operations. You will join a dedicated team, learn different cultivation processes, and make a real contribution every day to important work in agriculture. Join our team as a Crop Worker and contribute to a leading agricultural company specializing in crop research and development. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic.

In this role, you will perform daily tasks in our greenhouse, ensuring precision and accuracy in phenotyping tomato plants and participating in other logistical tasks. Your contribution will be vital to our mission of advancing agricultural innovation.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Collect data in the greenhouse daily and accurately enter it into our system

• Assist with planting and the start-up of crops during specific periods of the year

• Perform a wide range of plant care activities such as: sowing, watering, plant twisting, lowering plants, planting, leaf pruning, cluster vibration, harvesting, and seed collection

• Maintain order in tasks and perform double checks of data to guarantee accuracy

• Keep the greenhouse and workspaces clean and organized

• Work together with the team in preparing tests and other logistical tasks, with a willingness to learn and support different activities

Working hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday

Wat wij vragen

• Own accommodation and transportation to work

• Experience in seed companies or an agricultural education/background

• Good command of English and/or Dutch, both spoken and written, with the ability to understand verbal and written instructions

• Compliance with HSE and phytosanitary regulations while performing tasks

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team, with constructive communication skills

Wat wij bieden

• Gross salary: €15.87 per hour

• Travel allowance: €0.23 per km

• Overtime allowance: 140% for hours above 38 per week

• 8.33% holiday allowance + 25 vacation days per year
