Vanderlande is seeking a motivated intern to help build a Latency Impact Framework for its Data Layer, ensuring reliable messaging and low latency across a global organization. You will join the Central Data & Analytics department within a DevOps team focused on Data Layer development.
You will collaborate with data engineers, cloud architects, and software specialists in an agile scrum environment, contributing to hands-on testing, simulations, and performance analysis.
Desired study: Data engineering, data science, software engineering, computer science, business IT & management
At Vanderlande, we are building a new data backbone that enables applications across our global organization to exchange information reliably and seamlessly. While high message reliability is essential, satisfying strict latency demands is equally critical. As we continuously add new features and capabilities to this Data Layer, understanding their impact on data processing speed becomes vital. Currently, we lack clear insights into how software updates affect message latency.
In this technical graduation assignment, you will take ownership of creating a comprehensive Latency Impact Framework. You will research which architectural changes cause latency bottlenecks, quantify their exact impact, and build a framework that predicts the 'latency costs' of new functionalities before implementation. Your research will directly safeguard the performance and scalability of Vanderlande's core data infrastructure.
You will join the Central Data & Analytics department, specifically embedded within one of our high-performing DevOps teams dedicated to Data Layer development.
Our department provides central data platform solutions and governance across Vanderlande's global business units. You will work in an agile scrum environment alongside experienced data engineers, cloud architects, and software specialists.
