Job summary

Valcon is seeking an experienced Google Cloud Data Engineer in the Netherlands to design and implement data pipelines using GCP tools. You will work across data scientists, analysts and consultants to deliver end-to-end data engineering solutions with real-time capabilities.

The role emphasizes IaC, Agile practices, and CI/CD for reliable deployments. You will use Python and SQL to build secure, scalable systems and contribute to data governance and security efforts.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using GCP tools: BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, Firestore, Cloud Storage and Pub/Sub.
• Enable real-time streaming and scalable processing architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end data engineering solutions.
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code, Agile, and CI/CD practices to deployments.
• Use Python and SQL to develop secure, high-performance systems.
• Advocate data governance, security and best-practice architectures.
• Help clients evolve into data-driven organizations through insights and automation.
