Job summary

The Search in Amsterdam is seeking a results-driven Procurement Specialist to build a supply chain for an R&D project, aligning with global supplier bases and strategic goals. You will monitor technology capabilities, negotiate long-term agreements, and provide guidance to R&D and Operations, while offering a competitive package and ample vacation days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechatronics or mechanical engineering or similar.
• 3-5 years of procurement and purchasing experience with a global supplier base.
• Fluent written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor technology capabilities developments through market research and fair visits.
• Visit potential suppliers worldwide to assess production conditions and quality.
• Align procurement strategies with Heads of Development and project leads.
• Provide support and advice to R&D and Operations on procurement questions.
• Create and manage a supply chain for projects, including second sourcing and make-or-buy decisions.
• Prepare and negotiate purchase agreements for signing off.
• Support operational procurement in negotiations and long-term supplier agreements.
• Assist in establishing business cases for new projects.
• Oversee supplier performance assessment and monitoring for R&D.
