Job summary

Optics11, a Dutch deep-tech company in Amsterdam, seeks a Project Controller to oversee financials for its technically complex, project-driven organization. You will monitor budgets, forecasts and expenditures, and provide timely management reports to guide strategic decisions.

You will work with project teams, senior management and the CFO to professionalize controls and reporting while supporting growth across multiple international projects.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in project or business control
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Experience with ERP/PM systems and revenue recognition basics
• Knowledge of percentage-of-completion method
• Experience in project-driven industries (defense/offshore/construction)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Provide financial oversight and control for strategic projects
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and expenditures; identify deviations and risks
• Support project managers in financial decision‑making and scenario analyses
• Prepare management reports for Board or investors
• Improve project control processes, governance and internal controls
• Coordinate with accounting, auditors and external parties
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and drive scalable processes
