Job summary

Brivo in Amsterdam seeks a mid-level Network Engineer to own the global data center backbone. You will design, architect, and optimize our connectivity, working closely with Infra, SRE, and Dev teams to drive scalable, secure networks across continents.

You will dive into Juniper EVPN-VXLAN, BGP, IPSec, and security policy implementations, while growing into broader Infra leadership. This 5-day in-office role emphasizes high-impact collaboration and architecture decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience as a Network Engineer with Juniper EVPN-VXLAN and BGP/IPSec.
• Linux proficiency and ability to automate tasks with Python, Bash, or Ansible.
• Experience with monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana) and implementing network security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Implement, optimize, and scale the global data center backbone for high availability and security.
• Contribute to EVPN-VXLAN fabric design for scalable overlays in our cloud environment.
• Configure and manage routing protocols (BGP, IPSec, ICCP) for resilient global connectivity.
• Configure and maintain enterprise firewalls (Fortinet or equivalent).
• Collaborate with Infra, SRE, and Dev teams to align networking with compute/storage/cloud (Kubernetes, Ceph).
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, Ansible) for provisioning and scaling.
• Utilize Prometheus and Grafana for observability and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents to minimize downtime.
