Job summary

Drive Global Commodity Flows Across International Markets

Do you have experience in commodity trading, shipping, freight or supply chain operations and enjoy making decisions in a fast-paced international environment?

As a Global Logistics Flow Coordinator, you will be responsible for optimizing and executing global commodity flows across multiple regions and value chains. Operating at the intersection of trading, logistics and supply chain, you will translate commercial strategies into efficient physical execution while balancing cost, risk and service requirements.

Working closely with traders, freight providers, terminals, plants and commercial stakeholders worldwide, you will ensure the efficient movement of commodities while maximizing value across the supply chain.

Your Responsibilities
Flow Planning & Execution
  • Manage and optimize international commodity flows across global markets.
  • Oversee ocean freight execution, vessel schedules and cargo movements.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and customer commitments are fulfilled.
  • Monitor logistics performance and identify risks or bottlenecks.
  • Adapt execution plans in response to changing market conditions and operational events.
Commercial & Supply Chain Optimization
  • Translate trading strategies into executable supply chain plans.
  • Evaluate routing, timing and allocation decisions to maximize commercial value.
  • Assess operational and financial impacts of logistics decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and optimize asset utilization.
  • Support traders and business stakeholders with logistics insights and recommendations.
Risk Management & Decision Making
  • Anticipate operational disruptions and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate execution and market-related risks affecting commodity flows.
  • Lead resolution of complex logistics issues involving vessels, ports, plants and customers.
  • Make recommendations that balance commercial priorities, operational constraints and risk exposure.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a key interface between Trading, Freight, Supply Chain and Operations.
  • Influence decisions across multiple functions, regions and time zones.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders globally.
  • Support cross-commodity optimization initiatives across the business.
Experience
What We're Looking For

You bring 5-15 years of experience in commodity trading, shipping, logistics, or supply chain environments, with a strong understanding of global commodity flows, ocean freight, vessel operations, and international transportation networks. You are comfortable navigating complex international supply chains, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and making decisions that balance commercial objectives, operational requirements, and risk considerations.

Experience with globally traded commodities is highly desirable.

  • Strong commercial mindset and a keen understanding of how logistics decisions impact business performance.
  • Ability to navigate complexity, assess risks and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Analytical thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across functions and regions.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau is beneficial.
  • Fluent English is required; Spanish and/or Portuguese would be an advantage.
