Job summary

Altum Consulting in Amsterdam is seeking a Manager for Financial Reporting & Tax to lead tax reporting, ensure accuracy across multi-entity structures, and bridge internal teams with external advisers. The role blends technical accounting, tax oversight, and process improvements in a dynamic, international finance function. You will supervise, coach, and drive data integrity across reporting outputs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in accounting, reporting, or tax within a complex or regulated environment.
• IFRS and/or US GAAP knowledge with exposure to tax reporting considerations.
• Experience in financial services, asset-heavy businesses, or similarly complex structures is advantageous.
• Experience managing stakeholders across multiple teams and external advisors.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and structures.
• Previous supervisory or mentoring capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of tax reporting processes for internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the main point of contact for external advisors, managing data requirements and queries.
• Review and assess tax treatments under IFRS and US GAAP for complex transactions and structures.
• Oversee the preparation and quality of tax-related disclosures within financial reporting.
• Ensure consistency and integrity of financial and tax data across systems and outputs.
• Support and enhance internal controls and review processes across reporting activities.
• Contribute to improvements in systems, data flows, and reporting efficiency.
• Take ownership of projects with planning, execution, and stakeholder coordination.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members with supervisory responsibilities.
