Job summary

Trymax is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and troubleshoot wafer-processing systems across Europe, with occasional assignments in the USA or Asia. Based at Nijmegen HQ, you’ll support customers remotely and onsite, while receiving extensive onboarding and hands-on training.

You will train customer engineers, document issues, and help manage spare parts. The role blends autonomy with teamwork in an international environment and includes regular travel.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.
• Knowledge of multiple disciplines, such as mechanical, electro‑mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, robotics, RF technology, and software. Knowledge of vacuum systems, robotics, and/or RF technology is considered a plus.
• Work experience in equipment engineering, servicing, or the semiconductor industry is desirable, but not essential.
• Good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of German and/or Dutch is a plus.
• A valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, and troubleshoot our systems at customers' sites, primarily across Europe and occasionally in the USA or Asia.
• Train customers' service engineers and operators.
• Document system issues and solutions, advising on spare parts management, and sharing technical knowledge to maximize uptime and performance.
• Provide remote technical support from Nijmegen via Teams, email, and telephone, and prepare system upgrades and documentation.
• Meet with customers to discuss technical progress, service activities, and follow-up actions.
