Job summary

Meltwater in Amsterdam is seeking a hands-on Manager, Compliance & External Reporting to join its global Compliance & External Reporting team.

Reporting to the Director, you will support group audits under US GAAP and Dutch GAAP, statutory audits across jurisdictions, and the development of accounting policies, internal controls, and technical accounting memoranda.

This role offers international exposure and a clear path toward Senior Manager, with 80% focus on audits and 20% on internal controls.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of relevant experience in external audit, external reporting, or related accounting roles.
• Big 4 experience strongly preferred, multinational client exposure.
• Professional accounting qualification strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS; Dutch GAAP exposure is a plus.
• Experience coordinating group and statutory audits across jurisdictions.
• Good understanding of internal controls, including process and control documentation, walkthroughs, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of US GAAP and Dutch GAAP group audits with the Director and Senior Manager.
• Coordinate statutory audits across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC with stakeholders and external auditors.
• Research and analyse technical accounting matters under US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, IFRS, and local GAAPs.
• Draft technical accounting memoranda documenting guidance, analysis, and conclusions.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Maintain calendars for global statutory audits and compliance requirements and identify risks.
