Job summary

JDE Peet’s in Utrecht is seeking a Global Category Manager – Packaging & Process Equipment to own the global category strategy for a major CAPEX portfolio. You will shape supplier ecosystems, influence executive investment decisions, and build long-term partnerships with leading OEMs.

You will partner with Global Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Leadership to ensure capital investments deliver value through innovation, standardization and total cost of ownership, while driving risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in technical procurement, engineering, manufacturing or CAPEX sourcing.
• Experience leading global sourcing strategies and multi-million-euro investments.
• Strong executive stakeholder management and strategic negotiations.

As Global Category Manager – Packaging & Process Equipment, you will own the global category strategy for one of JDE Peet’s most strategic CAPEX portfolios. You will be accountable for a significant global spend, shaping supplier ecosystems, influencing executive investment decisions, and building long-term partnerships with leading global OEMs.

You will act as the commercial counterpart to Global Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Leadership, ensuring major capital investments deliver maximum business value through innovation, standardization, resilience, sustainability and total cost of ownership.

• Own and execute the global category strategy aligned with long-term manufacturing and supply chain objectives.
• Lead commercial strategies for major global CAPEX investments and global framework agreements.
• Influence executive stakeholders on investment decisions, supplier strategy and technology roadmaps.
• Build executive-level partnerships with strategic OEMs and lead Executive Business Reviews.
• Drive supplier innovation, equipment standardization and manufacturing competitiveness globally.
• Deliver multi-year value creation through cost optimization, innovation, sustainability and risk reduction.
• Lead complex negotiations and governance for high-value global sourcing initiatives.

For this role as a Global Category Manager – Packaging & Process Equipment we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in technical procurement, engineering, manufacturing or CAPEX sourcing.
• Experience leading global sourcing strategies and multi-million-euro investment projects.
• Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience working with leading global OEMs within FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, Pharmaceutical or similar industries.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in strategic negotiations, supplier relationship management and total cost of ownership.
