Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Global Process Engineering SME for Biologics drug substance manufacturing. You will provide integrated engineering expertise for complex production systems and support technology transfer across a global network.

The role requires strong leadership and the ability to translate manufacturing challenges into business-ready solutions, with emphasis on cross-functional teamwork and compliance to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 8+ years of process/plant engineering in GMP biologics facilities, drug substance preferred.
• Green or brown field GMP MFG facility start-up experience.
• Strong background in Process and Manufacturing engineering with analytical synthesis.
• Excellent communication skills in English required.
• FPX certification and Six Sigma/Lean experience are a plus.
• Up to 25% travel domestically or internationally may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Process Engineering Domain Expert for Biologics Drug Substance manufacturing.
• Provide technical leadership for technology transfer and new technology development projects.
• Develop integrated business solutions for site analysis and strategic manufacturing initiatives.
• Provide technical due diligence for licensing, acquisition, and technology strategy projects.
• Develop and improve engineering standards, design guides, and best practices.
• Identify emerging technologies and industry trends to advance capabilities.
• Ensure designs comply with global regulatory expectations and standards.
