Job summary

FairMatch Support in Amersfoort (NL) seeks a Transition Manager Agricultural Supply Chains to develop international agri supply chain transitions. You will work with companies, farmers, and partners to design and monitor strategies and ensure practical implementation.

Willingness to travel regularly to Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and other countries, with an open, learning mindset. You will write for diverse audiences and help build data management systems.

Qualifications

• Capable to think and approach things from various perspectives: farmers, SMEs, multinationals, agencies, and funding agencies.
• Experienced in working in an intercultural setting.
• Someone who has a good sense of what a situation needs (balancing lead vs. stepping back).
• Able to think strategically, holistically, and practically.
• Affinity with data analysis to use for improvements.
• A good writer; able to write for different target groups.
• Intrigued by challenges in the global food system, especially agri-value chains.
• Goal oriented rather than target oriented.
• Willing to travel regularly to Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, etc.
• Open minded and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop new propositions with companies and other stakeholders.
• Work closely with partners to monitor progress and adjust the strategy for effective project implementation.
• Facilitate the process of value chain transitions with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with companies, partners and funding agencies.
• Advise on development of data management systems for companies/cooperatives.
• Report to stakeholders and funders on progress.
