Enza Zaden is seeking a Genomic Breeder to translate data and genomics into practical breeding solutions. You will bridge breeders with data science and bioinformatics to accelerate progress across crops, turning complex insights into field-ready tools.

You will collaborate with diverse experts, lead genomic projects, and help implement new breeding technologies in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• As a Genomic Breeder, you translate complex genetic concepts into practical breeding tools.
• You combine breeding with genomics, data science, and bioinformatics to drive progress.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influence are essential.
• Experience in genomic breeding, genomic selection, or predictive breeding is required.
• Knowledge of modern breeding principles and KPIs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Partner with breeders to understand challenges and opportunities.
• Drive implementation of genomic selection and data-driven breeding approaches.
• Analyze genotypic and phenotypic data and translate into strategies.
• Ensure quality and interpretation of genotypic/phenotypic data for decisions.
• Collaborate with data scientists and bioinformaticians to develop methods and software.
• Lead implementation projects and support adoption and continuous improvement.
