Job summary

JDE Peet’s seeks a Regional Indirect Tax Manager to lead the GEM indirect tax function within the Global Tax team. You will advise senior leaders on tax implications of pricing, supply chains and cross-border activity, shape policy, and drive compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

You will work hands-on on ERP/digital transformation projects, including S/4HANA and e-invoicing, while maintaining tax risk controls and proactive governance with SOX relevance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics, or equivalent; LL.M. strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of indirect tax experience in global/regional roles at multinational or Big Four firm.
• Deep expertise in VAT/GST, excise duties, customs and other indirect taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/S4 Hana; experience with digital reporting and e-invoicing is a plus.
• Senior stakeholder influence and ability to translate complexity into clear recommendations.
• Ownership for regional outcomes with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Advise Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, Finance, and Legal leadership on indirect tax implications of pricing, footprint, and cross-border moves.
• Monitor evolving indirect tax landscapes and translate developments into impact actions for CFO and Audit Committee.
• Lead indirect tax requirements in ERP/digital transforms, including S/4HANA migration and e-invoicing.
• Own end-to-end indirect tax outcomes for GEM (VAT/GST, excise, other taxes) across European jurisdictions.
• Provide oversight of GBS teams delivering indirect tax compliance; define KPIs and standards.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex indirect tax matters; manage risk register and audits.
